Founder Report on Finances:Let me start by stating that I am not an I-ACT member. WAACH and I-ACT are completely separate entities. This month caused me concern. The first half of the month showed only two moderate donations and WAACH was in debt as of May. We were far from the target needed to sustain the critical efforts that have been initiated. I left this past Tuesday with my wife, Kristi, and our children to the I-ACT, International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy, convention in Las Vegas. It was my first time and I was not quite sure what to expect. We were excited and nervous. Regarding WAACH, we were hoping for enough support to carry us through this month and we had no idea how it would go. What I experienced was humbling and inspirational. The members of I-ACT rose to the occasion as individuals, an organization, a profession and a community. WAACH co-founder, Rebecca, sang solo to a group of 500+ people to raise funds. The North Carolina Colon Hydrotherapy Safety Association, www.NCCHSA.org, also in need of financial support, recognized the urgency of our need and helped verbally solicit for funding support and shared in donations they had received. A woman, by the name of Poonam, from California (also a state in need of financial support for legislative efforts) came forth and successfully solicited quite a bit of money on behalf of WA State. The spirit was contagious and money starting coming in from people that had traveled from all over the US and even a few abroad. I-ACT members ended up contributing a total of $3091.00, likely with more money to come in via mail and online donations. Though the debt is not cleared, this money will ensure efforts are maintained for the month of June. KEY NOTE: WAACH needs $1,365 to eliminate debt and another $4,000 by July 24th. TOTAL NEED BY JULY 24 = $5,365
There is now a surge of support and awareness coming from a broader community. WAACH is organizing information and efforts better than ever before. Since the beginning of my involvement on a state level with the colon hydrotherapy profession, my confidence is at its highest that we will prevail in our efforts. Thank you I-ACT members. Sincerely, Tim P.S. To find out more about what is happening in North Carolina and donate to support their efforts, click here.
